The Doonbeg Seafood Festival will take place from July 2oth toJuly 22nd 2012.

 

Throughout the weekend the festival will feature cooking demonstrations from both local and national chefs. Four chefs will offer their talents on Saturday and four on Sunday. Events include Curragh racing, Duck Race, Farmers Market and Vintage Rally, amongst other activities. The festival has something for everyone from foodies to families, couples to children.
Children can enjoy pony and trap rides, childrens activities, face painting and much more.

The festival, which is organized by the residents of Doonbeg, reflects the great local fishing tradition and the emphasis on seafood in the local restaurants in the area. The village of Doonbeg has a history of promoting successful festivals with the Doonbeg Jazz Festival, a major highlight in West Clare.
